Vantage Shipping offers two different types of models depending on your existing Order Entry system. Choose between the:
When integrated into your existing order entry software and existing shipping workflow, Vantage Shipping data will appear inside your order entry software. This data will be available to both the Vantage Shipping Software and your order entry software in real time. The original order can be updated with tracking information and additional shipping details can be added to the Vantage Shipping Software.
A fully functional Application Program Interface (API) has been created to allow your applications to push shipments into the Vantage Shipping Software. The API also has functionality to pull tracking information back into your order entry application. Electronic scales, labels, and defaults are available in both modes. Sample source code and documentation are available with the API.
The Pull Method Explained
The pull model is our most common implementation. A customized adapter plug-in is created to handle all communication with your order system. Integration points are provided at all steps of the Shipping process. A complete list of integration points is available in the right pane. Click the

Enter Order
A customer places an order and the order is entered and saved into the Corporate Order System. |

The order is filled and the invoice and delivery document notice are printed. Order is passes along to Shipping to be delivered. |

Shipping Details “Pulled”
Shipping clerk receives the Delivery Notice and enters the Order Number into Vantage Shipping. Vantage uses a custom API to “pull” the order information from the corporate order system.
Optional Scale Integration: Weigh scale and bar-coded info stored in the legacy system will be available in the Vantage Shipping Software. |
