Project Managers
Required Work Experience:
- Experienced Project Manager with an absolute minimum of 5+ years experience in Project Management specifically with a small to mid-sized Software Development Company
- Excellent project planning and shared resource scheduling skills and also have strong team leadership including the ability to motivate project members even without line management responsibility for them
- Must have a background in software development on a variety of types of projects
- An understanding of web-based commercial systems and the technologies used to deliver them
- Experience managing the development and evolution of products and can handle multiple projects across the entire iterative software development life cycle
- Understands the balance between business and technical requirements when introducing a new technology, measured against essential economic and client experience decisions
- Has developed plans to identify and mitigate technical and business risk
- Has experience seeking facts and expert judgment to overcome project uncertainty
- Excellent listener and experience providing information that is easily understood and useful to others
- Experience managing combined client and internal teams and leading them to achieve or exceed realistic milestones and objectives
- Sophisticated enough to gather support and commitment needed from senior management to champion project success, and represent the project team
- Designing, implementing and maintaining secure networks
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional certification would be an asset with a minimum of 10 years experience either managing multiple IT related projects
- Professional development courses focusing on: effective win-win negotiating, leadership effectiveness, presentation skills, business strategy; business requirements
- Must have experience working in an environment with a centralized project performance reporting tool
- Must have excellent PC skills, and expert knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills with attention to detail
- Must be able demonstrate project management competencies using past work experience, completing project assignments
